Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0420 and it's already "Hump Day". I see that the NY Rangers dropped another one last night, lets go fellas and turn things around. They play tomorrow evening again, hopefully they can figure out a way to win one for a change. Anyway, enjoy everyone and remember to be safe out there.......?

(2 years ago)Good morning everyone, the espresso coffee is on and it's Thursday. I'm teleworking this morning as I'm taking Beth to a dental appointment later on today. I see that the Yankees lost another one last night and now they're playing under .500. Not sure what's going on with the team but it's not good. This evening, we'll be at the Aroma Cigar Room enjoy primo stogies and all. I hope you all have a great day and enjoy it as well...... ?

(2 years ago)Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and it's back to work Monday already. We had a good weekend overall: Started off Saturday early with cutting the grass around 0800 (8 AM) and then headed to Aroma to see the guys. Afterwards, I stopped at a local Polish deli and picked up some tasty treats and Beth and I relaxed for the remainder of the day. Yesterday after our grocery shopping, we destained our double Adirondack and then relaxed out back in the gazebo for the remainder of the afternoon. I see that the Yankees blew a 7 - 3 lead going into the bottom of the 9th inning losing 8 - 7. Not a good year for the Yankees, time to regroup from management down. Enjoy your week everyone...... ?

We had a great time at Aroma last night, the place was packed and everyone was enjoying top shelf stogies. The Yankees didn't win or lose last night as they had a travel day, LOL. They'll be in Miami this weekend taking on the Marlins and the NASCAR drivers will be racing in Indianapolis starting tonight through Sunday. Have a great weekend all and I hope you get to enjoy a favourite or two or....... ?

I'm taking the morning off as I'm taking Beth to her dental appointment as I have 5 hours of vacation I have to use up before I lose it. The Yankees took 2 out of 4 games from the Astros this weekend and now take on the White Sox in Chicago starting this evening. The NASCAR race yesterday was halted because of rain and will restart at noon today on the USA network. Have a great week all enjoy...... ?

(2 years ago)Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's finally Friday! We had a great time last night at the Smoking Shields event in Harriman, NY. There was a great turn out with folks from all over NY in attendance. I see that the Yankees put up another "W", way to go guys and hopefully they can do it again tonight. The NASCAR drivers will be in Brooklyn, MI racing at the Michigan International Speedway this weekend with racing tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy....... ?

Beth and I had a great weekend over all relaxing out back Saturday and then yesterday supporting a fundraiser at The New Windsor American Legion (carwash from 0900-1300). Came home and put a rack of ribs on the grill for 3+ hours low and slow. Afterwork today, I'll come home and cut the grass and weed whack being that the temperature is only in the upper 70s all week:

(2 years ago)Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's "Hump Day" already. I see that the Mets beat the Yankees 9 - 3, come on fellas and turn it around tonight and put up a "W". Today at West Point is the annual New Comers Briefing / Community Fair for all recently arrived military members / government employees (arrived to West Point in the past year). From 1300 (1 PM) to 1500 (3 PM) will be the information briefings in the Ike Hall Theater and then from 1500 to 1700 (5 PM) will be the fair. At the fair, numerous activities will have tables set up in the Ike Hall Ballroom handing out information about their activities along with chochkees and such. Also in Crest Hall, there will be local vendors from on and off the installation offering tasty treats and drinks. Should be a great day for all to get out and meet other community members. Enjoy all....... ?

(2 years ago)Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday already. We had a good over all, I got the grass cut Saturday morning and then trimmed all the bushes afterwards. Unfortunately, I got some poison ivy on my left arm that is itchier than ever right now. Yesterday, Beth and I hit a couple of tap rooms / breweries which was a nice treat. The Yankees swept the Royals this weekend and congrats to Denny Hamlin for taking the checkered flag in yesterday's NASCAR race. Have a great week all and enjoy....... ?

(2 years ago)Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's already "Hump Day". We got a break and don't have to be at the Emergency Operations Center until 0700 (7 AM) this morning. It'll be another long day at West Point followed up with the County district meeting tonight hosted at our American Legion in New Windsor, NY. (2 years ago)Good morning all, the espresso coffee is on and it's an early Monday morning with work starting in less than 30 minutes at West Point. It's going to be another long week at work as recovery continues from last Sunday's storm. Highland Falls, NY (the town outside of West Point) has 455 condemned homes alone which is totally devastating to the community. They will recover but it's a long road for sure.
