Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0420 and it's already "Hump Day". I see that the NY Rangers dropped another one last night, lets go fellas and turn things around. I have a couple of more days off being that I have use-or-lose vacation saved up (carrying over 240 hours - max allowed). I get 5 weeks a year and with COVID-19, it was hard to take it all. Beth and I had a fabulous time visiting Jeremy, Christen and the grand daughters Sunday and returning yesterday. We exchanged Christmas gifts and loved seeing everyone especially the girls. A huge congrats to the Army football team as they scored with one minute left in the game to beat Air Force 10 - 7 and capture the Commander-in-Chief's trophy this year. I'm heading to West Point shortly and we go live at 0900 (9 am) and will be there at least 2 hours after the game is over. It's definitely going to be a cold one as it's currently 5°F with a wind chill of -6°F. Kick off is at 1500 (3 pm) and NOAA is predicting it to be 35°F with a Wind Chill of 31°F. We had a good night at Schlesinger's, a number of the regulars were there and we watched the new Tom Hank's movie "Greyhound". Today will be a busy one on West Point as the Air Force arrives and gets unloaded for tomorrow's Army vs. Air Force football game which will determine who wins the Commander-in-Chief's trophy this year. The game will start at 1500 (3 pm) and is being televised on CBS Sports Network:

So far, we have a good foot of snow and NOAA said we should get a couple of more inches before it stops. I'm working from home this morning, have a 0900 tel-conference and then I'll fire up the snow blower and clean things up. Hopefully the roads aren't to bad as we are still planning on going to Schlesinger's Hudson Valley Cigars this evening as long as Neil opens the doors. We had a great weekend overall, our Saturday lasagna party was a big hit (everyone loved it with plenty of leftovers); yesterday we went to Best Buy shopping for a new iPad for Beth as the one she has is older and needs to be replaced. Afterwards, we headed up to New Paltz for some Christmas shopping. Later on, we had a couple of beers at Craft Draft in Newburgh and then had dinner at our friend's new BBQ place (Handsome Devil BBQ):

(5 years ago)Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's already "Hump Day". Beth and I are putting up the Christmas Tree tonight which will make the house completely transformed from the Fall to the holiday season. We have a busy Saturday and Sunday coming up as it's the only off weekend we have before Christmas. Next weekend is the Army / Navy game and the weekend after that Army takes on Air Force here at West Point as well. Saturday, Beth and I have a number of shops to hit and Sunday we have some friends coming over for a lasagna dinner. This afternoon starting at 1540 (3:40 pm), the Steelers will be taking on the Ravens in Pittsburgh. Should be a good game and I'll be rooting for Baltimore to give the Steelers their first loos of the season. Anyway, enjoy all and remember to be safe out there....... ?
