WFH

Thought I would work from home today to get more done…..and watch every stick get humidified!

Distraction? What distraction?!

As the saying goes….keep your friends close..and your cigars closer!

Happy Friday Boys!

What is the comparison of keeping your cigars in the wrapper as opposed to removing them when putting in the humidor? Because I've read in a couple of places that they don't do as well if you keep them on. Just wondering if you have an opinion I haven't heard.

For me, it’s quite the opposite. I find that the keeping the wrapper protects and works well for long term aging. I have 5 humidors mostly for this purpose and it keeps my sticks from molding, that I fear would have if unwrapped and allowed to absorb more humidity. Also helps for when I grab several to travel on vacation to protect them and hold on more humidity for travel.

Without the wrapper, I feel you really need to pay a lot of attention to your humidity level or mold will happen far more quickly. Just my view and approach…

I’m relatively new to cigars. I leave the wrappers on in the humidor because it seems like more protection for them when I travel. If I grab a stick or two and head out, seems better protected.

I have a travel humidor for that specific purpose. However, humidity and mold shouldn't be a problem as long as your humidor is working properly.
