The cut

I choose my cutter by the Cigar size, shape, texture of tobacco(fine or course), single or double cap, and the density. Loose Rubusto is a good candidate for a punch. Tight Toros with a double cap are good to go with a guillotine cutter or V cut. Large 60 plus ring guage usually my biggest cutter which is a guillotine. Torpedo usually try to use a cutter with thinner blades for a cut that is more precision(preventing damage from heavy blade cutters that might crush the tobacco causing additional restriction and reducing draw from the tip). Having good draw is crucial to the full enjoyment of any cigar and making the cut can be just as important as having a good quality light for whatever your choice of stick may be at that time. All this of course, is just IMHO.
