Well, the Governor ended up closing schools for the rest of the year. We were already on a two week shut down, now the kids aren't going back. With no instruction from the school board on how they intend on making up for 12 weeks of school, we went and got a bunch of mathematics, reading & comprehension, and other workbooks to at least keep the kids doing something productive in learning - picked up a couple of kid edition Fire tablets as well so they can get the interactive learning games and reading in (we only have so many books, and now the libraries are closed too!).
To top it off, all "non-essential" businesses have been mandated closed under executive order for the next 30 days. I'm still trying to figure out how they determine what is essential versus non-essential - obviously food, medicine, emergency services, etc. would be essential, but what about professional services? With talk of state and local police enforcing business closures with the threat of civil (and possible criminal) penalty, I am hesitant to engage in business as usual. Guess I will have to engage in remote only support services for the next month.
Apparently booze is essential as all state ABC stores will remain open. That is good news for my Secret Easter bunny as it will allow me to still go get a good bottle of spirits to send!
I guess all this down time just gives way to more cigar time, and that can't be a bad thing!

(5 years ago)I have been using my spare time going through my home humidors(2 table tops & 1cabinet 650 capacity). I went through the cabinet and found different cigars that were thrown in as freebies or ones that I had forgotten about and have moved them to a table top and try one each day. I am coming up with some new favorites and others that I will take on hunting trips to give out to the guys that didn't bring any.
