One TASTY smoke! Edited

Smoked: Fratello Arlequin robusto

I was blown away! Consisting of a dark Mexican San Andres wrapper, an Ecuadorian Habano binder, and filler of Nicaraguan and Peruvian tobaccos, it offered a very unusual (to me) flavor profile. Notes of fruit, spice, sweetness, chocolate, wood, meatiness, along with an oily and mildly bitter sensation provided a profile that isn't what I call my usual preference for a stogie. However, while I wouldn't necessarily want it to be in my regular rotation, the Arlequin certainly would qualify for a choice when I'm in the mood for something totally out of my wheelhouse.

I don't know what it is, exactly, but I'm finding that there's just something special about cigars made with Peruvian tobacco.

I paired it with some Gordon's gin rocks with a splash of First Call lime juice (similar to Rose's), a Heineken on the side for a palate cleanser, and to top it off at its nub, a few sips of Peachtree Schnapps. Delicious!
