Nice day. Really nice cigar!

Smoked: Camacho Ecuador

This Camacho Ecuador Robusto (5 x 50) was a very satisfying smoke. Woodiness throughout, with pepper on light-up that quickly took a back seat to secondary notes of leather, earth, and nuts. The beautiful Ecuadorian Habano wrapper surrounds a Honduran Corojo seco binder. The filler consists of Pennsylvania ligero from the USA, Corojo 99 ligero from Nicaragua, Corojo 99 seco from Honduras, and Criollo volado from Honduras. That very interesting combination of tobacco leaves creates some succulent flavors I couldn’t identify; they were deliciously unique.

This cigar had a perfect draw and burn, with excellent smoke production. The retrohale was very smooth after the initial pepper. There wasn’t much of a long-lasting finish, though. Both body and strength were medium-full. Unfortunately, it really didn’t pair all that well with a Sam Adams Boston Lager.

I would most definitely buy the Camacho Ecuador Robusto again. Cheers!
