My Father Connecticut Corona Gorda is made with Nicaraguan Criollo and Habano filler, a Corojo binder and covered in a slightly toothy Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. A 6 x 48 is onnsidered a Corona Gorda in the My Father playbook.
Cedar, pepper, mixed nuts – mostly peanuts, cream and a flavor akin to a Milky Way bar. Nice shade cigar. By the second third, I’m getting hints of milk chocolate and leather. It’s not overwhelmingly peppery but it could use some other spices for balance and complexity.
Nice open draw, even burn line, plenty of smoke output, and ash that holds quite well throughout the smoke.
The strength was a little more than I anticipated from a medium to medium-mild bodied Connecticut, but I’m nit-pickin’. This is an enjoyable smoke.
