Macanudo Vintage 2010
To Cigar World thank you for choosing me to review this wonderful cigar. very few tobacco crops are deemed worthy of the term “vintage” by General Cigar Co. makers of Macanudo cigars. I want to tip my hat to Ernest Gocaj and the rest growers that made this possible.
The cigar came loose in a rectangle box, when originally opening I noticed the beautiful band that wasn’t over glued.
Next I spent a second to examine the construction of the Macanudo Vintage 2010 mine had tiny pin wholes in the outer wrapping. It’s a Connecticut wrapper and mixture of Honduran binder and mixture of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Dominican filler. I chose an straight cut toasted the foot after toasting the smell of vanilla, roasted cashews and hazelnut filled the room.
Upon getting into the first third vanilla, roasted cashews and hazelnut I picked up with no spice at all… the cedar band definitely infused another great note in the cigar.
Getting into the 2 part of the cigar the flavor and interesting aromatic of vanilla, burning cedar, gram crackers really begin to make the cigar pleasantly intense. Around the end of the second the cap began to unravel, nonetheless I was still getting an amazing draw.
For the last part of the cigar wow did the cedar become more noticeable, with a burnt vanilla, brown sugar notes this vintage burned even…… The cigar was nice I’ll pick up a box!!

(2 years ago)I got this cigar and mine looked nothing like yours. I would say it definitely wasnt wrapped very tight. Mine didnt have holes, but my cap did unravel a touch.

(2 years ago)I thought the same especially cuz it’s a vintage…. I had to store it separately, I wonder where they stored them if it was the manufacturer or what?
