LaDayCee Is Not The Jealous Type!

Smoked: H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon Robusto

Well, fellow brothers and sisters of the Leaf, I did not have a date with the sweet and lovely LAdC lady this weekend. I was considering trying a La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial in robusto vitola for the first time, but there was this H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon Robusto in my humidor that had been incessantly calling my name for a couple of days. I just couldn’t resist.

It’s a good thing Lady LAdC (I call her “LaDayCee,” and she calls me whatever the hell she wants) is very patient, unlike some members of the fairer sex that I know. And I don’t mean my wife (well, not most of the time…). LaDayCee waits quietly until I determine that it’s the perfect moment to spend a little time with her. And meanwhile, she’s not the jealous type. I discovered that when I once smoked a La Gloria Cubana. LaDayCee kept silent. No threatening looks. No pouting. No nuthin.’ She’s a real honey.

But seriously, about the H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon -- I’ve had them in robusto, toro, and corona vitolas. Honestly, at least to my palate, there is a striking difference between the 3 vitolas; IMHO, the very best tasting of the three is the robusto, hands down. The toro is lacking in something, as is the corona. ??? I’m wondering if anyone else shares a similar impression.

Have a good week, everyone. And I’m not the jealous type, either. So, if anyone wants to spend some time with LaDayCee, that’s fine with me. I can handle it. I think.

Cheers!

The vitola can make a big difference with the exact same cigar. One of my most extremes was smoking a Perdomo 10th Champaigne Connecticut with a friend who ONLY smokes them - in a Churchill. I had a robusto with me. Fired it up and was getting dank must/earth and way too much pepper for a Connecticut shade. I finally said "I can't smoke this" and laid on the cigar port. My friend tossed me one of his Churchills. A world of difference. Cigars are fickle. Vitola to vitola. Stick to stick from the same box, 5 pack or tenskie. Cigars are an adventure. And sometimes that adventure is like the theme song to Monk.

🤣😂🤣 !!! I also find sometimes a certain vitola just works better for a certain blend.

Haha excellent review my good brother of the leaf. I think you should have a double cigar day for the Superbowl. Start off the morning with the edition especial. And end the evening with the rare pink sophisticated hooker. Haha.
