Bottled up a new batch of apple wine last night. There were ten bottles, but one didn't get corked (we drank it), and two ended up going home with my brother in law after he conveniently stopped by last night after my wife had mentioned I was bottling new wine lol. Going to let the rest of these bottle condition for a few months or more before popping another cork. Turned out pretty good, mildly sweet, good apple flavor, and came in about 12.5% ABV.
And yes, those are Woodford Reserve bottles - one of my clients manufactures casing machines for breweries and distilleries, so they get a ton of glass for testing purposes on new machines, most of which ends up just getting tossed out when the machine is finished, so I get to grab whatever bottles I want for my homebrewing adventures - really saves money on glass! Sometimes the bottles even come full from the breweries (we've worked our way through three cases of Devils Backbone beer so far), unfortunately, the bottles from the distilleries always come empty lol.
Cheers!

(5 years ago)Looks good! A boatmate of mine has a party and we help make wine. Of course I wear a white shirt, needless to say how it ended up. However a lady told me how to get it clean, I wear it every time now.
