The Premium Cigar Association (PCA) 2024 trade show is officially in the books! While PCA kicked off a little earlier this year than years prior, some of the biggest brands in the cigar industry used it as an opportunity to showcase new and exclusive products! Thankfully, Cigar World was there to provide a quick recap on all the highlights you may have missed at PCA 2024!

Check it out here!

Macanudo Launches Emissary

For the first time, a Macanudo cigar will feature European tobacco. The new cigar — Macanudo Emissary España — includes 10-year-aged Spanish tobacco cultivated near the town of Riolobos. It also contains aged tobacco from the US, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia.

Gurkha Launches the Year of the Dragon(s)

Gurkha has had big plans in the works for a Year of the Dragon special release for a while now, and we got to see the full scope of that project at PCA. Gurkha has collaborated with AJ Fernandez, Ernesto Perez-Carillo, Oscar Valladares, and Oliva to release four, limited-edition Year of the Dragon cigars. Each cigar contains an entirely different blend. Plus, Gurkha is releasing a fifth cigar — simply called Year of the Dragon.

CAO Goes For Two

At PCA 2024, CAO unveiled not one but two new releases. Called CAO Fasa Sol and CAO Fasa Noche, the two cigars share the same blends — except for their wrappers. The dual smokes represent the different phases of the cigar-smoking process, while their different wrappers underscore the importance of the wrapper leaf to the overall smoking experience.

A Metallica X Drew Estate Sequel

Drew Estate, Blackened Whiskey, and James Hetfield (of Metallica) have teamed up for the second year running to release a cigar. The new offering, S84 Shade to Black, has — as its name suggests — an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper.

More Celebrity Partnerships

In addition to Drew Estate’s partnership with James Hetfield, several other cigar brands are teaming up with celebrities this year. Gurkha is introducing two new cigars with former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. Called Tyson 2.0 Undisputed, the new release features two cigars — one Habano and one Maduro.

At the same time, Espinosa announced that it is releasing a new, limited-edition cigar to the Knuckle Sandwich line — made in collaboration with celebrity chef Guy Fieri. The new smoke, Knuckle Sandwich Chef Special 2024, will feature a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.

Cohiba Collaborates with El Titan de Bronze

Cohiba has again partnered with El Titan de Bronze on a limited-edition cigar in their Serie M line. And though this isn’t the first time the two organizations have worked together, this new release called Serie M Reserva Roja features a new blend. Like previous releases between Cohiba and El Titan de Bronze, all Serie M Reserva Rojas have been crafted in the United States by certified Level 9 rollers at the El Titan de Bronze factory.

El Titan de Bronze is also releasing a new blend of its own cigars, Redemption, which General Cigar will distribute.

Rocky Patel Gold Label

Rocky Patel released its celebrated White Label at PCA not too long ago. This time, Rocky Patel is rolling out a new cigar called Gold Label. Featuring an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Gold Label will be available in four traditional sizes — Half Corona, Robusto, Toro, and Sixty (6 X 60).

Oliva Expands Serie V Melanio With A New Limited Edition

While this is hardly the first new Serie V Melanio (it’s not even the first limited-edition Serie V Melanio), it is always worth noting when a new vitola appears in this iconic line. The new frontmark, called a “Figuriño,” is a Perfecto, clocking in at 5.5 X 54.

My Father Cigars Unveils a New Fonseca

In addition to adding a new size to the El Centurion H-2K-CT line, My Father Cigars debuted the latest edition to Fonseca: Fonseca Edition MX. As you might guess, the cigar has a Mexican San Andrés wrapper and Mexican-inspired green-and-red packaging.

S.T. Dupont Partners with Casablanca (Fashion Brand)

Famed for making high-end luxury cigar accessories, S.T. Dupont has partnered with Casablanca, the fashion brand founded by Charaf Tajer, to produce a series of cutters, lighters, and ashtrays. Highlights from the collection include:

  • S.T. Dupont Cigar Stand Cutter Casablanca — $299
  • S.T. Dupont Large Ashtray Casablanca — $525
  • S.T. Dupont Cube Humidor Casablanca — $1,195

A Rare Padrón

For just the second time ever, Padrón is releasing a perfecto. The new cigar will mark the company’s 60th anniversary and be offered in both a Natural and a Maduro wrapper.
