Fruit may not be the first — or the most obvious — tasting note found in cigars. However, premium smokes usually possess varied and nuanced flavor profiles. Citrus tasting notes in cigars are not incredibly common, but some excellent smokes contain a hint of tangy, citrusy fruit. Don’t expect this tasting note to overpower the blend, but a welcome citrus tasting note can improve cigars with heavy cream or chocolate profiles.
