Caramel is a strong, easily recognizable flavor. However, it can appear more subtly within a cigar-smoking experience. Caramel notes generally have a “toothy” quality to them, and some blends combine caramel with other sweet and rich flavors like chocolate, cocoa, or nuts.
In addition, some cigars are infused with caramel (or salted caramel) flavoring.
Caramel is mostly associated with darker cigars, but plenty of exceptions exist to this rule.
