Cigar Reviewed: Punch Knuckle Buster Maduro

Smoked at: South Carolina

Fired up this stick on a Sunday afternoon and paired with an unsweetened tea. I did receive this stick very well packaged with a 69 humi pack. It registered @ 70 on my HumidiMeter. I tend to enjoy my cigar at 62-65, so I did dry box this for almost two days before I reached my desired 63 reading on my HumidiMeter.

Dark oily espresso bean shiny wrapper with no noticeable flaws in the wrapper. I used a straight cut on the cap. Had a very open draw with notes of hay and earth on the cold draw.

1st 5/10 minutes alot of pepper especially in the retro hale, and then just that quick the spice completely disappears. It did make a reappearance a few times during the smoke and disappears just as quickly.

Fairly straight thin burn line throughout the smoke with only 1 touch up needed. Did have a gray ash throughout the smoke. Was expecting it to be a very strong smoke, hence the name "Knuckle Buster", found it to be medium in strength and mild to medium in body. A+ on smoke output!!

For my palate it was very 1 dimensional and very boring, with a little bitterness at times. Just tasting the natural tobacco itself(with the natural sweetness coming in and out at times) without any other complex flavors playing a part. This was definitely not in my wheelhouse and probably one of my least favorite in their lineup. Now in all fairness I did smoke "PUNCH Aniversario 180" a few days ago and that was hands down my favorite cigar from Punch 👊👊

Overall I would give the cigar a solid B @ this price point.** **
