The Blend Artisan's Corner Page 2
The hustle doesn’t stop for our Cigar World community, especially when it comes to these creative entrepreneurs. Find out more about some of our favorite Artisan’s Corner subjects and how cigars inspire their work, and potentially even pick up a gift for a loved one or even an early Christmas present!
For this Artisan’s Corner, we wanted to bring some attention to Luke Wessman, especially since it is National Tattoo Day. Luke is a renowned tattoo artist, as well as an overall entrepreneur and cigar enthusiast. We were lucky enough to get in touch with Luke, even with his insane schedule which includes his full-time tattoo job, golf hobby, brand collaborations, traveling and more.
Sometimes, we come across some unique creators in our search for Artisan’s Corner, and Skate Chair definitely fits this mold. Not only are John’s creations different, but they reuse items that would typically be thrown away, so we loved the sustainability part of these pieces. Read about how John came to be in this “quirky” business below.
In honor of International Women’s Month, we wanted to feature a woman artisan for our Artisan’s Corner series. When we came across CSA Creative, we just had to reach out. CSA Creative has been featured on HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, BuzzFeed, NBC News, Uncommon Goods, and the list goes on and on. This is a one-woman operation. Cristie designs and creates all of her products, and they are unique and beautiful. You can find skeletal spine plant stakes, lunar moon calendars, skull head planters, insect-themed curiosity domes, and more.

Cigar World's Interview with Art De Fumar
When you walk into Wilde Cigar Lounge in Dallas, Texas, you will see amazing pieces of art adorning the walls. When you get closer to the art, you will discover that they have been crafted out of cigar bands. No seriously. Portraits of Nolan Ryan (oh and this one is signed.) and John Wayne are just a couple examples of the work you can see in the lounge. What is even cooler, the artist actually works there. Her name is Kim Jackson and she has been creating these beautiful, unique pieces since April 2014. I was lucky enough to spend some time with Kim and discuss her artwork and history in the cigar world.
