Punch Releases New Mr. Punch Cigar
Punch Cigars is releasing a new, full-time blend to honor its longtime mascot, Mr. Punch. The new cigar — Mr. Punch by Punch Cigars — features signature bold Punch flavors. And it’s available in the biggest size ever released by the brand. For those unaware, Mr. Punch is a puppet first developed in Renaissance Europe and made famous through various “Punch and Judy” shows.
Mr. Punch by Punch Cigars Blend Breakdown
The new Mr. Punch Cigar includes an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan Jalapa Seco binder, and fillers from Nicaragua. Interestingly, the cigar was also made in Nicaragua, though most Punch Cigars are produced in Honduras.
Mr. Punch by Punch offers tasting notes of wood, cream, and spice. Drink pairings include rye, brown ale, and coffee.
Scott Abney, Brand Manager for Punch Cigars, said, “Mr. Punch is a true icon not just in the cigar industry, but in pop culture. So it only made sense to create a cigar that captures his spirit. This new blend delivers a classic Punch smoking experience with a flavor profile tailored to the modern consumer. We know it’s going to be a hit.”
