Two legends of the cigar industry are teaming up for a historic collaboration. For the first time, Partagas is partnering with the US-based factory, El Titan de Bronze, to create the limited-edition Partagas de Bronce. (“Bronce” is Spanish for Bronze.) The cigar will begin shipping in April 2023.

Partagas de Bronce Blend & Product Information

Partagas de Bronce is a Nicaraguan puro featuring a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and Seco Corojo, Viso Dulce, and Ligero Medio Tiempo filler tobaccos. Tasting notes include cocoa, earth, wood, and hints of citrus. All Partagas de Bronces are hand rolled in Little Havana, Miami, at the El Titan de Bronze factory.

“For a venerable brand like Partagas, collaborating with a legend like Sandy Cobas and creating a special, limited edition cigar at her family-owned factory marks an important step in Partagas’ evolution,” said John Hakim, brand manager of Partagas. “Partagas de Bronce highlights Partagas’ devotion to old-world cigarmaking techniques and its commitment to marching the brand forward through innovation. We look forward to sharing this exceptional blend with cigar lovers across the country.”

Production is limited to 5,000 boxes; only one frontmark is available: a 6 ¼ X 46 Gran Corona. The cigar’s band will feature both the Partagas logo and branding and a second band with “El Titan de Bronze” written across it. Boxes include ten cigars –– plus the signature of the torcedor who rolled them.

El Titan de Bronze

While this marks the first time El Titan de Bronze has teamed up with Partagas, the factory has collaborated with brands like La Palina, Warped, Padilla, Cohiba, and Drew Estate. Founded in 1995, the Miami-based manufacturer specializes in small-batch, premium cigar production. According to Sandy Cobas, the factory employs “Level 9” rollers to handmake every cigar in their inventory, and another Master Roller/Blender personally inspects every day’s cigar output to ensure the highest quality possible.

El Titan de Bronze takes its name from the Cuban revolutionary Antonio Maceo Grajales, who earned the nickname “The Bronze Titan” during the Cuban War of Independence against the Spanish for his devotion to the cause, and for his resistance to bullet wounds incurred during battle.

The family-owned and operated El Titan de Bronze factory is on Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street). In addition to collaborations with brands like Partagas, El Titan de Bronze also produces its own cigars.
