CAO is continuing their practice of releasing boundary-breaking cigars with rare and under-utilized tobaccos with their new launch, BX3. Named as a slight homage to their previous releases LX2, CX2 and MX2; BX3 features three Brazilian tobaccos whereas the predecessors featured two Ligero, Cameroon and Maduro tobaccos, respectively. BX3 marks the first time CAO has used three Brazilian tobaccos in one cigar for an intensely flavorful, yet balanced result for which Brazilian tobaccos are renowned.

CAO BX3 Blend Information

BX3’s shining stars are the three Brazilian tobaccos utilized in the wrapper, binder and filler. Starting from the outside and working our way in, BX3 is wrapped in a flavorful Brazilian Mata Fina tobacco leaf. This dark and oily leaf provides much of the strength as well as a naturally smooth sweetness.

Going deeper, the Brazilian Arapiraca binder - as popularized through CAO’s Amazon Basin - adds a unique and deep flavor that comes through with a pleasing aroma and earthy, yet exotic undertone.

Finally, CAO finished the blend with a big blend of Brazilian Mata Fina, Nicaraguan, Honduran and Mexican tobaccos. The finished result is an experience almost too delicious to describe. The cigar is strong, but not overpowering. Aromatic, yet unoffensive. Overall, BX3 provides a smoking experience that is unignorable in its depth and that sets a precedent for how individually distinct tobaccos can be balanced for an incredible effect.

BX3 Pricing & Availability

CAO BX3 is a full-time launch for the brand in 2022. The cigar is available in three sizes: Robusto (5” x 52), Toro (6” x 54), and Gordo (6” x 60). SRP on individual cigars range from $8.99 to $10.49. BX3 is packaged in boxes of 20, with box and band adorned with a unique design reminiscent of the cigar’s Brazilian origins.
