CAO Brings Back Amazon Basin Extra Añejo For a Limited Time

CAO is bringing back Amazon Basin Extra Añejo in October 2026. The extremely limited release features the award-winning Amazon Basin blend, aged for two years to naturally mellow and fully mature.

Amazon Basin Extra Añejo was rolled in 2023 using the blend that has made Amazon Basin a fan favorite since its introduction in 2014. The cigars were then placed in CAO’s aging rooms, where they mellowed for two years to allow the blend to fully mature.

CAO Amazon Basin Extra Añejo Blend Breakdown

At the heart of the cigar is Brazilian Bragança, an indigenous tobacco grown in the Amazon. The filler combines Bragança with Dominican and Colombian tobaccos beneath a Nicaraguan binder and Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The medium-to-full-bodied cigar delivers notes of earth and fruit.

“Amazon Basin has always been a special blend because of the character Bragança tobacco brings to the cigar,” said Cory Beardsley, Brand Manager for CAO. “With Extra Añejo, we gave that blend two additional years to mellow and fully mature. CAO Amazon Basin Extra Añejo will be available exclusively in a 6 x 52 Toro, packaged in boxes of 18 cigars. The limited-edition release will begin shipping to retailers in October 2026 with a suggested retail price of $15.89 per cigar.
