CAO unveils limited-edition Arcana Firewalker

Following the release of Mortal Coil, CAO is set to expand its Arcana line with a new cigar called Firewalker. CAO Arcana Firewalker is a limited-edition cigar that utilizes a special fermentation process called “Chincagre.” This technique, based on a local tradition of farmers in Masatepe –– a region in western Nicaragua –– involves burying fermenting tobacco deep within the volcanic soil for two months. The natural fermentation process, in conjunction with the unique aging conditions found underneath the ground, creates tobaccos with an inherently sweet and aromatic flavor. 

CAO blender/ambassador Rick Rodriguez had this to say about both Firewalker and the Arcana series: “The Arcana series is an opportunity for us to unite CAO fans with rare tobacco methods they might not otherwise learn about on their own. This is our way of sparking conversation about what it takes to make a great cigar. CAO Firewalker contains filler tobaccos from Nicaragua that undergo the Chincagre process, which are then bound with a Nicaraguan Habano leaf. The wrapper is a Habano Rosado from Ecuador. The cigars were handcrafted at American Caribbean in Estelí, Nicaragua. CAO Arcana Firewalker is a medium-plus bodied cigar that contains both spicy and savory tasting notes, as well as elements of earthy sweetness.

CAO will offer the limited-edition Firewalker in a single size –– 6.5” x 56. 5,000 boxes (20 count) will be made available for the US market exclusively, and cigars will begin to ship to retailers the first week of February 2022. The packaging on the box is black with red accents. SRP per individual cigar is $11.99.
