Cigar or a buffet line???

A few days ago, I had a Mi Querida Puma Negra and REALLY enjoyed it. Our mayor sent me a review that was in Halfwheel and was written by Charlie Minato. THIS is why I don't put much stock in cigar reviews. The following is a list of the aromas and flavors detected by the reviewer. What a joke.

Aroma: old-school steakhouse

Flavors: cinnamon, chocolate syrup.soapy hops, apples, pizza dough, leather, earthiness, damp earth, pistachio, apple pie, McDonald's Polynesian sauce, Thai basil, minerals, lemon, sawdust, cream, salty sunflower seeds, watered-down lemonade, candy corn, and peanuts.

Is it just me or does this sound ludicrous?

I love that cigar, @Mad Dan!

BTW, if you reply to someone or want to note or thank someone, the site will notify them if (1) you’re following them here, & (2) you tag them in your text.

The McDonald's Polynesian sauce cracks me up. That's weirdly specific and NOT something I'd want to taste in a cigar.

I agree Dan, I know there are people that can detect smells the average person can not, but this ridiculous. Liked your assessment.

It reminds me of an extreme CA review. lol. Since I have the palate of a goat, I find these descriptions amusing.

Amusing ... that's a good word to use.
