This was the first time I've smoked Ave Maria. Whoa…this one surprised me. It rested in the humidor for about 4 weeks. Before I even lit the Excalibur, I could taste the baking spices on the wrapper, and I definitely sensed the cedar during the initial draw. I forgot how much I like Cameroon-wrapped cigars. It is a well-crafted stick and looks great too. The smoke has serious volume and doesn't dissipate quickly. It burned even after the first half inch; the ash remained solid and broke off on it's own almost exactly at 1 inch each time. I only retohale after reaching the second third and the Excalibur gave a noticeable non-harsh pepper kick with leather - so good. I slid the main cigar band to the very end as it reached the last third, and ended up peeling it off because I smoked it all the way to a nub, finishing with a little sweetness remaining. I'm skipping the the 5-pack and going straight to a box of these. Like other's have stated, I now want to try the other Ave Maria cigars.
