Rocky Patel Decade

Smoked: Rocky Patel Decade

Rocky Patel Decade is box-pressed made with Nicaraguan filler, a Nicaraguan binder, and a smooth oily dark chocolate brown Ecuador Sumatra wrapper with a few visibile veins.

Taste of cedar, roasted mixed nuts, spice, pepper, chocolate, vanilla, and berries. The entire smoke had returning flavors of vanilla and fruit as dominant notes. The retrohale is peppery with wood and vanilla. There are some vague hints of coffee and earth. It does lack any degree of typical tobacco sweet pure creaminess, but the vanilla, chocolate and fruit notes make up for it.

This stick sure put out some smoke. I like that. The draw was a tad loose, but acceptable. The ash held quite well throughout the smoke – tapped off neatly when ashed. The burn line was fairly even.

Rocky Patel Decade is rich and balanced with fair complexity. Medium bodied. Medium-full strength. I like this cigar, but I did not find it particularly special. My brother-in-law would dispute that point. RP Decade is one of his go-to cigars. Hey! Different smokes for different folks.

I agree that I like the smoke, but it's not my go-to. As for my neighbor, it's his go-to smoke. Well, anything RP.thing RP. Though when blended with a nice drink its not that bad
