The Oliva Connecticut Reserve is a solid choice. I found it to be a smooth and creamy experience right from the get-go. I picked up a lot of toasted nuts and a nice bready flavor, with a subtle sweetness that almost hinted at vanilla. As I got to the second half, it transitioned nicely from mild to a mild-to-medium body, and I started to taste some woody notes and a touch of earthiness, maybe even a hint of coffee and light pepper.
The construction was pretty much perfect for me; it had a great burn and a smooth draw. I was able to smoke it down to the nub without it getting harsh, which is always a plus. It's definitely a cigar I'd recommend for a morning smoke or if you're just starting out, but even as someone who smokes a fair bit, I really appreciated its nuanced flavors when I wanted something on the lighter side.
