Padilla Single Batch 2019 Select Reserve is a box pressed toro using Dominican filler and binder and a Habano wrapper. The band is gold on black with a white trim.
Oak, earth, leather, mixed nuts, and background notes of faint dark roast coffee and dark chocolate. That’s where the flavors begin and end – unless my palate was on the fritz. It’s medium-full bodied and strength.
Perfect open draw, jagged burn line that put the quad flame through its paces, decemt smoke output, and white grey ash flaky but held to almost an inch
I’m at a loss as to what is “select” and “reserve” about this cigar. It features a very limited number of flavors, although they did balance. It’s the essence of an average stick. But hey, I did smoke it nearly to the nub so it wasn’t bad. Give it a 3 across the board.
