Montecristo White Series

Smoked: Montecristo White Series

After a rather mediocre review of the Platinum, I felt obliged to rescue my overall opinion of Montecristo pairing a White Series with morning coffee. Smooth as silk. Opens mild and builds to medium-mild bodied. The Connecticut flavors are all present and accounted for – cedar, buttery, cashews, cream, vanilla wafer notes with a touch of spice. After a few puffs, you get some floral and leather.

Montecristo White Series is still one of my go-to morning smokes. Montecristo 1935 Anniversary is one of the best cigars I’ve smoked this year. I’ll chalk up my experience with the Platinum to a one-off. Again, it is a better than average cigar – just not in the same league with other Montes I have smoked.

What more is there to say about the Montecristo White Series? Fired up the Rothschild to pair with morning coffee. It opens very mild and builds to medium-mild bodied. All of the Connecticut flavors are there – cedar, cashews, butter, cream – almost vanilla wafer creamy with just a touch of spice. The pepper could use some toning down for my taste, but it’s more an observation not a complaint. A few puffs generate slight notes of leather and floral. This is a go-to for a morning coffee smoke.
