Smoked: La Boheme by Aging Room

La Boheme by Aging Room has received much hype, including comparisons to the Golden Age of Cuban Cigars. Since I was not a cigar smoker nor likely alive during that era, I can only offer my 2025 experience with this cigar. And, let’s face it, many cigars have been given this accolade over the years.

The blend uses Dominican Habano filler and binder and a medium brown oily Ecuador Habano wrapper, although some cigar mags claim it’s “undisclosed.” The band features a maiden and multi-color scenery on a cream backdrop with gold framing. “La Boheme” is scripted above the image of the maiden.

Cedar, a hay/grass earthiness, mild pepper, roasted nuts, something akin to a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg and Graham cracker cookie sweetness, and notes of bread. The nuttiness reveals walnuts and peanuts as its main components by the second third. It’s medium bodied and medium strength.

Open draw, white ash held on with Gorilla Glue – over an inch and won’t tap off, takes a couple rolls to ash it, spot on even burn line – excellent construction.

Aging Room makes some very good cigars. Add La Boheme to the list. I’ll still take the Quattro Nicaragua given the choice. But La Boheme gets 5s across the board – including the band if there was a Cigar World review category for appearance.
