EP Carrillo La Historia includes an Ecuador Sumatra binder holding Nicraguan and Dominican filler with a San Andres wrapper. It’s a medium to medium-full body, medium strength cigar.
Flavor profile - Wood (starts out oaky transitions to more cedar), earthy, mineral, leather, mixed nuts, spice, pepper, a few notes of hay, grain, chocolate and dried fruit. Very heavy peppery retrohale.
Good draw, decent smoke output, The ash held very well and the burn line was fairly even throughout.
La Historia is a good cigar, but I can’t help but compare it to the Carrillo Pledge, Encore and Allegiance – all of which are a bit better sticks in my opinion. I'm not knockin' the La Historia. Just sayin.'

(54 days ago)Uigeadail is my favorite Ardbeg - closely followed by An Oa. Works well with most med-full to full bodied sticks. Some have issues with the serious amount of peat. I say more peat, more flavor.
