Crowned Heads Mil Dias Double Robusto

Crowned Heads Mil Dias Double Robusto features an oily, slightly toothy Ecuador Habano wrapper covering a combination of tobacco from Nicaraguan, Peru and Costa Rica. It’s medium-full bodied, medium strength.

Almonds, pepper, cedar, fruit, caramel and milk chocolate sweetness, fresh brewed coffee, earth, leather, and saltine cracker. There’s also a hint of butter, toast or day old bread. Does that make it a good breakfast stick? About midway through the first third, there’s a spice overtaking the pepper. It could be nutmeg or honey graham crackers. I’m not all that good at precisely identifying specific spice. I don’t bake nor cook. I’m one of the few guys in the family who doesn’t. So, with those culinary deficiencies in mind, let’s call what I taste something from the spice cabinet.

Good open draw, the ash held on tight stacked like a roll of nickels, somewhat wavy burn line, smoke production was more than adequate.

I like the Mil Dias. It was an enjoyable smoke. It’s got a lot of good flavors, but I don’t love the cigar. It’s a solid 4.
