Blackbird Jackdaw Gran Toro

Smoked: Blackbird Jackdaw Gran Toro

Blackbird Jackdaw Gran Toro is named after a type of crow. It’s made with Nicaraguan and Dominican filler, an Indonesian binder and a smooth tan Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. It’s adorned with a yellow sleeve band with the brand name "Blackbird" on one side and the name “Jackdaw” scripted on the other. There is also a depiction of the bird in the corner. The Gran Toro is 6 X 54.

Cedar, light pepper, general all purpose baking spices, roasted nuts, cream, leather, herbal, and hints of cinnamon and butter and a zing of citrus in the mix. It’s a medium-mild bodied cigar with flavor balance, some complexity and transitions.

Nice open draw, a wavy burn line that required several touchups, white ash stacked like a roll of change, and major league smoke production – pitchers and catchers report in a week. We can add the Jackdaws to the Blue Jays and Orioles for spring training. Seriously, the smoke output probably violated several EPA regulations.

This is a good mild/medium-mild morning coffee cigar, although it could pair nicely with a Speyside or Campbeltown scotch as well. Cheers!
