This Orange robusto was the last of the Inspirado lineup I bought. The profile was medium and I got notes of a soft leather and almost nutty taste from time to time. There wasn't anything overpowering and it was an easy, smooth smoke. I can see why folks like this version of the MI line.
For my final rankings I would put the Brazilian Shade at 1a) and the Red at 1b). They are completely different with the Red being the powerhouse big daddy full profile and the Brazilian Shade being the easier going of the two. I've seen the Brazilian be a little harder to get at the stores as well (maybe that was a bonus point that put it over the top).
However, if I was forced to buy a cigar for a group of people it would be the Orange. I think the Orange captures the good qualities from all of the Inspirado cigars and rolls it into one. ('rolls...': cigar joke). The Orange would satisfy the taste buds of the full-profile junkies while entertaining the newbies without overpowering them. If I was grabbing for myself I would get the Brazilian Shade and try to replicate that sunny morning I had with it. If I was grabbing a few sticks to smoke with a buddy; I would probably grab the Red.
I wouldn't mind working my way through the top 5 again and judge them one more time (at least one more time!).
No1 - Brazilian Shade
No2 - Red
No3 - Orange
No4 - Green
No5 - Black
No6 - White

(13 days ago)I have never smoked the Brazilian Shade. Not sure I've ever seen it in a cigar shop or online. But you are not the first to sing its praises. Of the Inspirados I have smoked, I'd rate the Orange over the Red, but that's just a matter of personal taste. Thanks for the detailed review.
