I agree w @JohnV & others, a great IPA or #bourbon go with most cigars.

I nearly always pair a cigar with a beer. My basic rule is to pair them on opposite ends of the taste/flavor profile, so they don't over-bear each other but act as a compliment taste wise. This obviously has exceptions depending on my mood and availability of the products. As a craft beer nut, I tend towards IPA's most of the time from local breweries, but this should in no way limit potential pairings. Recent pairings have been a Nat Sherman Timeless Supreme 660 with a Double IPA, a Juarez Willy Lee with a spicy Imperial Amber Ale and a Enclave Broadleaf Toro with a coffee Imperial Stout. The great thing is, the choices and combinations are limitless when pairing craft beers and cigars. Cheers!

I tend to gravitate towards craft IPA’s, and with the weather warming up it’ll be the perfect time for them.

I usually like to pair bourbon with a cigar, but I’ve never had a bad local beer with a cigar.

I’m currently partial to any New England style IPAs. I like that they ease off on the real strong hoppy flavor and are a bit juicy.

Thanks, @gumby. Newcastle Brown was my first love of beer. Might have to rediscover that brand again.

Newcastle isn't the same. It is no longer imported. It is brewed on the west coast.
