As you know, stogies are subjective. It’s all about personal taste and how we as people experience those. That’s part of why cigars are so fascinating. Two people can have two completely different experiences from the same thing.

Much like a personal preference on tobacco blends, we all have a personal preference on the size of cigar we like to smoke. That leads us to this week's blog topic. Well, it’s more of a simple question that doesn’t get asked enough…

What’s your favorite cigar size to smoke?

I’ll start it off. My personal favorite cigar size is a 5x50.

Why? ‘Cause, at normally about 5x50, a Robusto will check all my necessary boxes.

They’re packed with flavor.

They don’t burn too hot.

And, the best part, they always smoke in under 45 minutes.

Dassit.

I prefer a Robusto or a Toro, I don’t usually have a lot of time in my day to day routine to smoke but if I can I will make time to enjoy a good smoke.

A torpedo with the right blend makes all the difference to me, usually taking about 15-30 minutes longer than the Robusto counterparts but with much more intensity in flavor profile.

I am more of a Toro type guy. More so for the length of time. I smoke cigars as a part of Fellowship with other Masons. It gives us an extra 35-45 minutes to just sit around and talk.

Surprisingly this was a tough question once I started thinking about it. When buying in bulk I lean heavily towards Robusto and Toro but also enjoy several that I prefer as a Churchill. I also really like the shorty Nub on occasion.

Churchill 7x48 my preferred size, length helps it smoke cooler and gives a long 60-90 minute smoke. I don't enjoy the mouth feel of the fat 60 ring cigars.

Initially Robustos were my preferred/favorite size, then I went to Toros. Now, I've moved away from toros, and my favorite is Lanceros. Of course, all the cigars I continue to buy are Toros.

Corona , hopefully with a habano-rosado wrapper. Best wrapper to filler/binder ratio and doesn't take more than 45 minutes to smoke.

    A 6 x 50 toro is my favorite.

A 7 x 50 Churchill is my second best if I have enough time.

I generally go with a 6x50 or 5x50. I also like coronas and toros. I also enjoy the box press larger sizes from time to time.

Typically go t 5x50 day to day but def take the opportunity to go bigger when I have time.

5x50 is my go-to but it depends on the company I'm with and what I'm doing...if I'm mowing the lawn for example, a nice Churchill is always a good smoke.

6x60 is my day to day. Last long enough for a relaxing drink but no so long I miss out on another relaxing drink. Cheers!

60 to 64 ring size allows flexibility in blending. If you're going to smoke, smoke em' big!
