(5 months ago)Deeper the better - any wind can blow ash around - Stinky' makes a cheap large, very deep, stackable, cigar ashtray that commercial establishments use. It's made of melamine, weather resistant if you like to leave it outside. most of the time... Certainly not a piece of art, but you can get them in different colors and you can easily buy several of them and leave them around the deck or on several tables etc.

(5 months ago)I have a 4 finger herf heavy duty ash tray that I currently leave outside. Its not pretty, nor for the feint of heart but man, it gets the work done. could even be used as a self defense piece as its pretty heavy.

One is for cigars, and the other is mainly for pipe smoking. Each one is different; one cannot select the exact dimensions. I have been very pleased with both of them.
