Cigars with toasty notes exemplify a smoky, full quality. Strange though it may sound, “bread” is a fairly common flavor cue within cigars, and breadiness is often a welcome addition to a spicy or sweet profile. As such, cigars with toasty notes can have a bread-like quality to them. On the other hand, some sweeter cigars exhibit “toasted marshmallow” notes.
Either way, toasty cigars come in all shapes, colors, and varieties, so don’t be shocked if you get a hint of wheaty bread or sweet smoke the next time you light up a premium cigar.
