Cigars with herbal tasting notes offer something a little different from the “typical” smoking experience. Herbal tasting notes — like floral tasting notes — are normally understated and complement a more “natural” tasting blend. Like some spices, herbal notes are also something cigar smokers may note more on the retrohale than on the traditional draw. (Retrohale: a method of inhaling smoke through the mouth up into the back of the nose, before expelling through the nostrils.)
Herbal notes are somewhat associated with limited releases and experimental cigars that undergo uncommon aging processes, OR that have been infused with other flavors.
