Cigar Reviewed: Macanudo Inspirado Black

Smoked at: Malaysia

This is one beautifully constructed stick, with barely visible seams in the almost pitch black wrapper.

Before lighting, a cold draw reveals notes of dark chocolate and a slight nuttiness.

The first third is dominated by the aforementioned chocolate as well as coffee notes and is nice and full bodied. Some nutty notes creep in at this point and it tastes almost as it smelled before lighting.

Things get more complex in the second third as hints of tea creep into the dark flavours.

The cigar went out on me just before the last third, but upon relighting, an unexpected mintiness was discovered which really impressed the complexity of this stick upon me,

I'm not the most experienced cigar smoker, but this was one of the most delightful sticks I have had to date, and I went ahead and bought a box, putting my plans of smoking a bigger variety on hold for the time being. After all, why not smoke what I like, right?
