Windy, warm, and cloudy

Cigar Reviewed: Oliva Robusto Reserva Blanc

Smoked at: Fireman's Park Lindenhurst

So during my walk to Fireman's Park it was pretty cloudy and the wind had picked up. I was looking forward to just enjoying my cigar on a nice warm day. It was 70° out but the wind was blowing hard. Just as I sat down to cut my cigar the wind died down, and the sun seemed to have parted the clouds like Moses and the Red Sea. As I sat down with my newly acquired stick I pulled out my V cutter. I know it's a personal preference but you always hear how V cuts are for rookies and newbies. Sorry folks but I love a V cut. I beats how I use to do it with a golf tee. The Cigar has been in my humidor for about 3 weeks. Oliva was always my go to brand of cigars and couldn't wait to try this. I've had so many issues with Connecticut wrappers but I knew Oliva would set that right. The Cigar burned well all the way thru. The first part was creamy and chocolatey. It moved into a more cinnamon cream almost like a churro dipped in ice cream. The finish was more earthy with a hint of oak and cedar. I sat there listening to some Red Hot Chilli Peppers and watching the geese just float in the pond. Great smoke on a great day.
