Vintage 2010

Cigar Reviewed: Macanudo Vintage 2010

Smoked at: Orange park, Florida

After letting the cigar rest for about 2 weeks after I received it, I finally smoked it. I paired it with Elijah Craig, small batch 1789 bourbon, it had good construction with minimal veins. I used a straight cut. At first light the draw was smooth, during the first 3rd it had a mellow draw, good smoke output, in the flavor I could detect hints of vanilla and light wood. The ash was a solid 1.5" of grey ash, the burn was even. Second 3rd flavor profile stayed the same, burn was still even, no touch up. Last 3rd, more woodsy notes, stronger hints of spice, nice even burn through the end, very enjoyable smoke even though I prefer a medium to full, I would definitely keep this in my collection.
