Very respectable everyday cigar

Cigar Reviewed: Charter Oak Maduro Toro
Smoked at: Carolinas
This cigar has a beautiful smooth wrapper that is dappled medium to dark brown. The foot is the fold over type which gives it the more expensive and authentic look of a limited release hand rolled cigar. The band features an illustration of the Charter Oak Tree, well recognized by those who hale from Connecticut, the source of this cigar's wrapper. The cold draw brings earth and tobacco with something sweet? Dates? Figs? The foot toasts nicely and lights without issue. Plenty of rich smoke. Easy draw, once lit the cigar delivers earth, cedar, pepper, and Oak? (Do I really taste Oak? Or is it just the name suggesting that to me?). This is a very enjoyable, but not complicated cigar. It will not rock your world, but neither will it ruin your day. The flavor profile remains the same throughout but is thoroughly satisfying with plenty of flavor due to it's Maduro wrapper and Nicaraguan filler. This cigar is affordable and well made. The burn is even, the ash long. It is an hour plus smoke. I would consider it a very respectable everyday cigar for those who will pay a little more for quality but don't want to break the bank.
