Very Nice

Cigar Reviewed: H. Upmann Sun Grown Corona

Smoked at: The Woods of East Texas

Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers surrounded by a broadleaf binder and wrapped in a sun grown Ecuadoran wrapper give this cigar a nice medium to full flavor.

It's 5.5"x44, nicely rolled with a near perfect draw and a clean burn. It had no soft spots and was firm enough to the touch. Prelight, the foot smelled mild and sweet. Made my normal V cut and took a prelight draw. It tasted sweet and woody. The draw gave good resistance and was very smooth.

This cigar started off spicey and bolder than I was expecting but quickly mellowed and a nice woody flavor with leather notes took over and lasted nearly the rest of the length of the smoke before turning spicey again at the last inch or so.

Very pleasant smoke with a mild euphoric feeling afterward I typically get from maduros, and I may well have to pick up a box of these, possibly in robusto.

I really enjoyed this one. It had a really nice firm roll to it. Much better than the other affordable smokes I've tried. The RP's I've been smoking on are rolled plenty well enough, but I was surprised by the quality of the H. Upmann.
