Partagas Legend: A Lesson in Frustration

Cigar Reviewed: Partagas Legends
Smoked at: Long Beach, Mississippi
This cigar looks the part but doesn’t deliver. From the first light, the draw was tight enough to make the experience frustrating. I understand box-pressed cigars can feel a little firm, but this one smoked like there was a twig running straight through the center. The burn never evened out, no matter how often I touched it up. It tunneled, stalled, and refused to stay consistent.
When a cigar makes you work this hard, it’s nearly impossible to enjoy whatever flavor it might have. I could tell there was some promise beneath the surface, maybe a hint of wood and toast, but the construction ruined any chance of appreciating it.
For a brand with the history and reputation of Partagas, this is disappointing. The Legends should smoke like a tribute to that legacy, not a reminder that quality control isn’t what it used to be.
