Cigar Reviewed: Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Maduro

Notes of coffee, chocolate, and cocoa. A subtle creaminess in the smoke. Very well balanced as one flavor profile doesn't really over power another. Even in the last third the cigar doesn't seem to get bitter (I'm sure it would if you smoke it too fast though.) I prefer the maduro wrapper over the natural, as the maduro brings a subtle sweetness that I don't get with he natural. The wrapper a little toothy, which to me is a welcome characteristic. Not as toothy as a Cameroon wrapper, but still filled with wonderful flavor. Not a light cigar, so might not be a favorite for a new smoker, but for the seasoned smoker, this is an incredible and flavorful cigar.
