Nutty and Mild

Cigar Reviewed: Arturo fuente hemingway short story

This little figurado (perfecto) packs quite a bit of flavor into a small package.

The cold draw was notes of tobacco of course and a slight maple flavor.

Initial light was slightly sweet and leathery. The draw was a tad bit tight due to the closed foot.

The burn started off uneven but soon corrected itself for the initial third. Flavors were still leather and slight sweet but I also noticed a nuttiness that reminded me of almonds or cashews. Maybe hazelnut. No pepper or spices that I noticed.

The flavors remained consistent through the rest of the cigar, yet the burn did not. I had to correct the burn a couple of times. Overall burn time for me was around 30 mins.

I was really surprised at the flavors in this mild little cigar. Highly impressed.

This would be a great beginner cigar, as its not too much to overwhelm in either length or strength.
