Nice Surprise!

Cigar Reviewed: Emami Cigars Komodo Series Maduro Churchill

Smoked at: Cigar Chateau & Gifts - 3049 N Rock Rd Ste B, Wichita, KS 67226

Walking in to the local lounge today I was met with a nice surprise. Amin Emami, owner and CEO of Emami Cigars, was there setting up display as they are getting ready to start selling his cigars. I was lucky enough to get the chance to try one of these and wasn’t let down.

I started with what I normally gravitate towards and went with a maduro, the Komodo series Churchill in fact. I was not at all let down by this choice either. It is made of Esteli and Condega Nicaragua tobacco with a Habano binder and is wrapped with San Andres. While longer than my normal choices, the cigar was captivating from the beginning. The first little bit kind of grabs you with a bold flavor getting a decent flavor of pepper, leather, and some wood. It seems that the longer you go the more smooth the cigar becomes getting an espresso flavor with some light nuttiness, and a sweetness coming out. The cigar burned even through with no touch ups required. It had a nice firmness to it but the draw was easy and gave a good amount of smoke. The flavor continued to evolve slightly through the entire cigar but never seemed to lack in taste.

In the end I was extremely happy with this cigar and will definitely be adding it to my humidor. I would recommend this cigar to anybody that enjoys a great tasting bold maduro cigar. Emami Cigars are based out of Lawrence, Kansas. Check out Amin’s website at emamicigars.com and give these cigars a try, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
