Maybe a dud?

Cigar Reviewed: Partagás Valle Verde

Smoked at: Scottsdale, AZ

The cigar looked and smelled beautiful. Notes of earthy baking spice. When first lit, it was pretty much pepper. After the first inch or so there was a hint of warm cedar very much hidden in the heavy pepperiness. The further it smoked, there could be a touch of cocoa nib in there. Getting to the back third, it was finally a bit better balanced albeit not complex with hints of cedar, cocoa, and baking spice. The pepper certainly died down, but I could have had it mellow a touch more. Honestly, this cigar just wasn't ever any good and it took getting to the final third to be maybe an ok smoke which was unfortunate because it looked good, had a nice dry draw, and I do have an affinity toward San Andreas.

It does seem like there are plenty of people who did enjoy it, so I would say that it is worth taking a whirl on.
