Cigar Reviewed: Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Connecticut

Smoked at: Carolinas

A beautiful and smooth light brown Connecticut wrapper covers this 54 ring cigar. It is double banded with very ornate gold colored bands. The cold draw is earthy and sweet. It toasts nicely and draws well. I got a lot of creamy and smooth smoke. It burned slow and cool with well over a one inch ash. As the smoke progressed, some nutty flavors developed. Toward the end a little spice and wood, just a bit, shined through along with a natural sweetness. The whole cigar took about 90 minutes to smoke and every inch of it was delightful. My one disappointment was that the wrapper flaked a little and fell off in spots. I didn't detect anything I could call bourbon, but there are a lot of delicate flavors that just made this cigar delightful. It paired will with an unsweetened latte.
