The Flor de las Antillas Maduro delivers a rich and enjoyable smoking experience that lives up to the My Father reputation. From the first draw, I picked up notes of dark cocoa, espresso, cedar, and a touch of pepper that created a balanced medium-to-full-bodied profile. The construction was excellent, with a smooth draw and plenty of smoke output throughout most of the cigar.

The reason it earns 4 stars instead of 5 is that the final third became a bit sharper and lost some of the complexity and sweetness that made the first two-thirds so impressive. Even so, it’s a flavorful, well-crafted maduro with great value for the price. If you enjoy Nicaraguan cigars with rich chocolate and spice notes, this one deserves a spot in your regular rotation.
