Cigar Reviewed: Aging Room Amber by Rafael Nodal
Smoked at: Casa De Montecristo - 1016 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10022
Blend: Nicaraguan wrapper
Dominican Binder
Nicaraguan&Dominican Filet
Vitola: Torpedo 6 x 52
Construction: impeccable
Burn line straight
The cigar is dressed handsomely with a blue and gold wrapper.
Draw on the cigar was semi- tight which is how I like it, (I hate a wide open draw).
The cigar opens up with a sweet milky chocolate and floral taste note. Taste of mold cedar on the retrohale
The chocolate ramps up in the middle third more like dark chocolate and a honey sweetness, aromatic spices and cedar was the under tone.
The final third was a bit disappointing the aromatic spice turned into pepper and the chocolate not although mild was replaced with an acrid, bitter smoke texture.
All in all it was a very enjoyable cigar, thick smoke texture and patent draw.
Is it worth $40 bucks, you be the judge.
Personally, I would love to smoke it again but the cost outweighs my desire.
